A status yellow warning for wind has been issued by Met Éireann affecting five counties from midnight.
Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo with be under the alert until 2pm on Saturday.
Met Éireann warn of Some potential impacts including difficult travelling conditions and some fallen trees and branches.
Drivers should exercise caution.
