
The chair of the Donegal Local Community Safety Partnership has expressed concern at the high levels of rape and sexual assault in the county.
Figures presented by Superintendent Siobhan Mollohan showed that in the 12 months from March 2025 to the end of last month, there were 44 rapes and 79 sexual assaults in the county.
Those figures were down 15% and 47% respectively from the previous 12 months, but Cllr Gerry McMonagle says they are still too high, and requires further work……
