A local councillor has condemned those behind a security alert on the Foreglen Road in Dungiven which caused disruption yesterday.
Last night, the road was reopened, with police in County Derry saying they conducted a search in response to a claim that an explosive device had been left in the area.
Nothing was found and they’re appealing for information. Local councillor Kathleen McGurk is urging anyone with information about the apparent hoax to come forward.
