Wreaths stolen from Derry war memorial in suspected sectarian hate crime

Police in Derry are appealing for information after wreaths were stolen from a war memorial in the city centre.

PSNI say four wreaths were taken from The Cenotaph at The Diamond last night between 9.45pm and 10.10pm .

A male suspect was seen running in the direction of Butcher Street shortly afterwards.

The incident is being treated as a sectarian hate crime, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
