The Magee Campus of Ulster University is set to receive £800,000 for a new short courses initiative.
The Department for the Economy funding is part of the Magee Campus Expansion Programme.
Welcoming the investment, MLA Ciara Ferguson says initiatives like this are key to creating jobs and building a stronger economy.
