A Lough Swilly Ferry could soon be back on the water if negotiations between Donegal County Council and a potential new operator are successful.
A previous round of tendering was unsuccessful, but when a second tender period expired yesterday, one proposal had been received.
Discussions are now beginning, with Cllr Liam Blaney saying that while the summer is already half over, there could be a boat back on the water as early as next week…………..
