Letterkenny RFC are through to the Gordon West Cup semi-final after a testing win on Saturday.
They hosted Newry in the Gordon West Cup quarter-final and won 13 v 7.
University of Ulster lost by 5 v 10 to Limavady in a second Gordon West Cup quarter-final.
In another game with North West interest, City of Derry were away to Armagh in Division 2A of the All Ireland League and lost 19 v 16.
