Update – Man questioned after fatal collision in Derry

 
Police in Derry have confirmed a 43 year old man was arrested in connection with last night’s fatal collision in Derry.
A 70 year died after being struck by a car on the Culmore Road.
The collision happened near the entrance to Troy Park shortly before 6.55pm.
The Culmore Road remains closed this morning between Greenhaw Road and Pennyburn roundabout, with local diversions in place.
Police are appealing to witnesses to come forward.
Police have confirmed the man who was detained and questioned was subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.
