Ahead of the 12th round of TTIP negotiations, 280 civil society organisations from across Europe have called on the European Commission and the United States Trade Representative to remove the Investor State Dispute Mechanism from the draft.
The issue comes back to the negotiating table after a two-year impasse, with claims that the ISDS system is being rebranded rather than abandoned.
Midlands North West MEP Marian Harkin is backing the campaign, saying that while there are benefits to a new transatlantic trade deal, one which includes this provision cannot be accepted…….
