Update – Derry crash victim named

 
The pedestrian who died in a collision on Culmore Road in Derry yesterday evening has been named as 70 year old James Brendan O’Connor.
Mr O’Connor was from the local area and his family have requested privacy at this difficult time.
Meanwhile the Culmore road which was closed to facilitate a technical examination has since reopened.
Police arrested a 43 year old man  in connection with the incident however he has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
