A Fianna Fail councillor in Inishowen is to meet with the National Ambulance Service later this month to discuss the need for a second ambulance to cover the peninsula on a 24/7 basis.
Cllr Martin Mc Dermott says after he raised the issue last week, calls for the service to be extended have intensified, and a public demonstration called by the Irish Republican Socialist Party will take place outside Carndonagh Hospital at 4 o’clock this afternoon.
Cllr Mc Dermott says there is a clear demand for a better service, and he’ll be bringing that to the ambulance service, the HSE and the Minister for Health………….
