Councillors in the Glenties Municipal District have been slammed for neglecting the islands with only one meeting of the Council’s Islands Committee having taken place since the last local elections.
The committee was estalblished to give a voice to those living on our islands on issues ranging from roads to broadband service to health- they are supposed to take place three times per year.
Commitee member Seamus Rodgers says that hasn’t happened, and the feeling on the ground is that Donegal’s Islands are the Wild Atlantic’s orphans…………….
