Donegal Senator Cecilia Keaveney is demanding urgent discussions to resolve the suspenion of the Donegal Youth Council.
She wants the County Manager and the Department of the Environment to discuss the next move after the expiry of the youth council co-ordinator’s contract yesterday. The council says the governments recruitment ban is preventing it from acting.
It’s understood there are proposals before Minister John Gormely to resolve the issue, but they are bundled with other staffing issues, and Senator Keavney says this must be treated seperately.
