Donegal had the second lowest housing turnover rate in the country over the last 12 months according to figures published today by GeoDirectory.
The county returned a turnover rate of 1.5%, against a national average of 2.1%, with only Monaghan returning a lower rate at 1.3%.
Nationally, the average house price for the year was almost €233,000, falling to just over €168,000 when Dublin is excluded.
Donegal had an average property price of almost €113,000, with three counties, Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim, having average prices of less than €100,000.
Donegal had the second highest vacancy rate in the country with just over 28% of homes in the county vacant, with only Leitrim returning a higher vacancy rate at 29.5%
The lowest vacancy rate was 6.8% in Kildare.
