Philip Deigan off to a solid start in Spain

Donegal’s Philip Deignan is riding well in his first race of the year in Spain.
The Team Sky man is 13th overall heading into Friday’s stages of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana 2017
The opening two days seen a Team Time Trial on Wednesday and the first road stage yesterday.
Deignan sits 58 seconds down on the leader.
BMC’s  Nicholas Roche is 5th overall while fellow Irishman Dan Martin is 9th.
The race continues until Sunday when it concludes with a summit finish that should Deignan and the Irish riders.
