Security Alert in Derry after viable device is found

There’s an ongoing security alert in the Tamneymore Park area of Derry.
Shortly before midnight, reports of a suspicious object were received, and Army Technical Officers declared the suspicious object a viable device. It has been taken away for further forensic examination.
Police are continuing to conduct follow-up enquiries in the area at this time with some cordons in place but no roads closed.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
