The BBC is reporting this morning that the biggest school building project in Northern Ireland is being delayed for a year because of what the department has termed “a number of important emergent issues”.
The £140m project will eventually see six schools built on the site of the former Lisanelly army base in Omagh. One school, Arvalee Special School and Resource Centre, is already open.
The campus was top have been finished by September 2020, thqt’s now been changed to 2021.
Local MLA Declan Mc Aleer is seeking an early meeting with the department to discuss the issue…….
