There are further calls for community hospitals in Donegal to be extended.
It follows reports of a significant increase in those waiting to access services, particularly in the Inishowen area.
Local Cllr Martin McDermott says the move would also alleviate on-going pressures faced by Letterkenny University Hospital.
He believes it’s the only viable solution:
