A Donegal Deputy has welcomed confirmation that his Climate Change Bill is to progress to the next stage in the Dail.
The Fossil Fuel Divestment Bill has received unanimous support from the Oireachtas Committee of Financeand will move to the next stage when the Dail resumes after Christmas.
The Bill seeks to divest public money from fossil fuel companies in an effort to align Ireland’s climate change commitment agreed to in the Paris Agreement.
Speaking after the news, Deputy Pringle said Ireland now moves closer to becoming one of the first nations to divest its public money from fossil fuel companies……….
