Cycling – Top 50 finish in Italy for Deignan

Letterkenny’s Philip Deignan finished the Giro d’Italia with a strong performance in the closing time trial in Milan on Sunday where he was placed 23rd behind stage winner David Millar . Deignan who rides with Lance Armstrong’s Team Radioshack clocked a time of 31:49 over 26 kilometres. In General Classification the 26 year old  Donegal man finished in 47^th place, 1:42:02 behind race winner Alberto Contador.
