A record number of cyclists will take part in this weekend’s Donegal Altantic Way Ultra 555k Cycle which starts on Friday morning, 8am at Ballyraine Letterkenny.
The riders briefing will be held tonight (Thursday) in the Mount Errigal Hotel with around 330 riders set to compete in this year’s event.
Competitors will will take on some of the most scenic roadways to be found anywhere in the World. The route takes them past Malin head, Mamore Gap, Knockalla, Atlantic Drive, Horn Head, Carrickfin, Glengesh Pass, Sliabh League and Barnesmore Gap all within 48 hours.
Sean Mc Fadden and Shaun Stewart are the organisers of the event.
