Upgrade works at Kilmacrenan are said to be on course to finish ahead of schedule.
Minister Joe McHugh says the €19 million works on the N56 along the Blue Banks has been a big success for the county and its hoped works will be complete by Easter.
He says another €34 million will be spent on main roads in Donegal this year.
