Residents on Arranmore have written open letters to people in the US and Australia asking them to consider moving to there.
The island has been suffering from population decline for decades, and currently has only 469 residents.
Recently, the first offshore digital hub in the country was opened on Arranmore, with residents able to avail of high speed broadband.
