It’s anticipated that Donegal will get a big slice of extra LEADER funding due to a high performing track record.
The Rural and Community Development Minister, Michael Ring is providing five million euro in extra funding for the top ten performing groups across the country.
The 29 separate Local Action Groups develop strategies and fund projects in their respective areas.
Cathaoirleach of the Inishowen Municipal District Cllr Martin McDermott says Donegal has fared very well in the past and is now in a good position to obtain more money:
