The EU and UK are to hold fresh talks aimed at resolving problems over post-Brexit trading arrangements for Northern Ireland.
The Protocol has been blamed as one of the reasons behind the riots in recent weeks.
Loyalists feel the checks between the North and Britain has weakened their place in the UK.
