A number of Donegal islands are to be surveyed by National Broadband Ireland in the coming weeks.
The survey will involve the determination of the best routes to install fibre broadband.
Inishfree Island, Eadarinis Island, Eighter Island, Rutland Island and Owey Island are to be surveyed.
Following the completion of the survey, the next stage will be the building of the network.
