Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has welcomed the announcement that a new Garda Insurance Fraud Coordination Office is to be set up.
The intent of the office is to allow members of the public to directly report what they believe to be a fraudulent insurance claim made against them to Gardaí – instead of having to rely on their insurance company to report the incident to the authorities.
The Sinn Fein Finance Spokesperson says the dedicated Garda unit is good news for consumers:
