Letterkenny is the third most overcrowded hospital in Ireland today with 48 people awaiting admission there this morning, four fewer than yesterday.
It follows a statement from Saolta last night warning of long waiting times at the hospital.
According to the latest report from the INMO there were 11 patients on trolleys in the Emergency Department.
Meanwhile, in Sligo, there were 21 patients awaiting beds, 17 of them on ED trolleys.
Nationally, there were 416 people awaiting beds across the country, with the highest numbers registered in Limerick with 55 and Galway with 52.
