Ulster Bank will start writing to current and deposit account customers in the coming weeks, to give them notice to move and close their accounts.
They’ll be written to in tranches and given six months notice in order to facilitate orderly account switching.
The bank has also announced it will not accept new mortgage applications from existing customers from the 10th of June.
It’s part of the phased withdrawal of the bank from the Irish market.
