The Agriculture Minister’s announced a new scheme as part of a 12 million euro support package for Irish farmers.
Charlie McConalogue’s unveiled the Tillage Incentive Scheme to help them grow more tillage crops this year.
The aim is to reduce Ireland’s dependency on imported feed material.
The budget for the Tillage Incentive Scheme is 10 million euro and with a proposed payment rate of 400 euro per hectare.
