First funerals of Creeslough tragedy to take place today

The first funeral for a victim of the Creeslough explosion will take place this morning, when 24 year old Jessica Gallagher is laid to rest.

It will be followed by the funeral of 49 year old Martin McGill, which will take place later this afternoon.

Both funerals are being held at St Michael’s Church, Creeslough.

The funerals of 48 year old James O’Flaherty, 39 Catherine O’Donnell and her 13 year old son James Monaghan will take place tomorrow.

Meanwhile, 14 year old Leona Harper’s funeral mass will be held on Thursday afternoon in Ramelton while Martina Martin who was 49 will be laid to rest after mass at St Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Thursday morning.

Eleven candles have been placed on the altar of the Church in Creeslough, to remember the 10 people who were tragically killed in the disaster, and one candle for those injured in the blast.
