Donegal made it two wins from two in the Nicky Rackard Cup as they defeated Armagh by 3-20 to 1-16 at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.
After defeating Fermanagh in their opening game, Donegal followed this up with a much better display and led by 1-10 to 0-8 at half-time, with the Donegal goal actually coming off the hurley of a Armagh player.
Mickey McCann’s charges continued to hold the upper hand after the break and opened up an eight point lead – 1-20 to 1-9 – with 2o minutes of the second half gone. Declan Coulter, Liam McKinney and Ronan McDermott – with a point off his boot – were among those who contributed scores of note.
Late goals from Gerry Gilmore and Conor Gartland enabled Donegal to run out winners by ten points.
