Senator Blaney blasts ‘discriminatory’ driving proposal

A Donegal Senator has opposed a European proposal which could see drivers over the age of 70 having to undergo refresher courses.

If the European Commission gets its way it would mean motorists over 70 would have be required to have regular medical tests and courses to renew their driving licence.

Fianna Fail Senator Niall Blaney says its discriminatory and we already have adequate measures to ensure older drivers are safe:
