Ireland warned to prepare for potential mpox spread

Ireland has to be prepared for cases of mpox to be recorded here.

That’s according to a leading infectious disease specialist, as Sweden’s public health agency records the first case of a more dangerous variant of mpox outside Africa.

The WHO has declared the outbreak of mpox in Africa as a public health emergency of international concern.
