As we progress further into the winter months, there’s renewed calls for Donegal County Council’s Winter Gritting Programme to be extended.
Councillor Declan Meehan is urging the local authority to ensure public transport routes across the county are gritted when required.
He says it’s imperative the operation of public transport is not hampered by untreated road conditions:
