Donegal County Council is continuing to monitor weather conditions across the county.
Donegal remains under a status yellow low temperature and ice warning until Friday.
Road temperatures in parts of the county were as low as -4 earlier today.
Around 1,100km of road across Donegal has been gritted each day during the current cold snap.
The Council’s Director of Roads and Transportation, Bryan Cannon says drivers must assume no road is ice free:
Donegal Civil Defence is working with the Council to also provide assistance to vulnerable people during the inclement weather.
They are providing essential services, such as collecting and delivering groceries, fuel and medications.
The service is also delivering meals on wheels and transporting people to medical appointments.
