A wall at a house was spraypainted in Kilmacrennan and the post box stolen.
The incident occurred between 8:45 pm on Sunday evening and 8:30 am the following morning at the property of Ballyscanlon Lower.
Gardaí are now appealing to anyone in the area who observed any suspicious activity to get in touch.
