Motorists in Letterkenny and Downings told to expect delays are road works get underway

Donegal County Council begins essential maintenance work on the N13 Dual Carriageway this morning. The works, which are on the stretch between the Dry Arch Roundabout and the Manorcunningham Roundabout, start today and will run until Thursday.

Works are scheduled to begin each morning after 9:00 AM.

The council has added two extra phases to the Temporary Traffic Management Plan.

This will allow the works to be completed in the critical sections on the outbound lane and inbound lanes closest to the Dry Arch Roundabout during non-peak traffic hours.

The extra phases will also allow the works to move away from the Dry Arch Roundabout and reduce the impact on peak traffic at this location.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys in the mornings.

Meanwhile, drainage works are also beginning today on Downings Main Street and will continue until October 24th.

Traffic management will be in place for the duration of these works, and motorists should also expect delays and allow extra time for their journeys.
