Mark English has qualified for the semi finals of the 800m at World Championships in Tokyo.
The Finn Valley man progressed with a third place finish in his heat this afternoon, running 1.45.13 to secure automatic qualification.
Cian McPhillips also qualified with a stunning run to win his heat in 1:44.91.
Both Irish men will be in semi final action on Thursday.
