Donegal coastal areas face flood risk amid high winds and spring tides

The country is being advised to brace for blustery conditions over the coming days.

A nationwide status yellow wind warning will come into effect at 3 a.m. on Tuesday and will remain in place until 9 p.m.

Very strong and gusty winds are forecast, with an increased risk of flooding in coastal areas due to very high spring tides.

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow rain alert is in effect for Derry and Tyrone until 3 o’clock today.
