A man has died following an accident on a fishing boat off the North West coast.
Gardaí say they received a report of a workplace accident on a fishing boat the coast of Sligo on Sunday morning at 8.15am.
A man in his 40s was seriously injured on the boat and airlifted to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
A file will be prepared for the coroner, and the Health and Safety Authority has been notified.
