The Sacred Heart Church in Dunlewey remains closed following damage caused by Storm Chandra.
Slates were blown from the roof onto the ground below.
A spokesperson says efforts are ongoing to reopen the church for Mass on Friday morning, but in the meantime, the public is asked not to visit the site.
