Assaults on Altnagelvin Hospital A&E staff remain unchanged despite body‑worn camera trial

It has emerged that assaults on staff in the A&E department of Altnagelvin Hospital have not declined despite a trial of body-worn cameras.

The Derry News reports that 36 devices were worn from November to January.

During that period, nine incidents of assault were recorded, five of which were physical, matching the number of assaults in the same period the previous year.
