The body of a man has been recovered off Arranmore Island.
Gardaí in Donegal assisted the local coastguard in a search and recovery operation near the island yesterday.
Shortly after 4pm, the body of a man aged in his 60s was recovered.
The body has since been removed to the mortuary in Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardaí say foul play is not expected at this time as investigations continue.
