Gardaí in Donegal are warning the public to be aware of a scam by individuals purporting to be from the Financial Intelligence Unit.
Those involved are requesting personal and confidential information regarding the person’s financial affairs.
They produced identification claiming they were from the FIU, but Gardaí say this ID is fake.
They say the FIU will not contact any person directly seeking personal financial details.
