In the National Cup, County Galway made light work of Letterkenny’s 146, cruising home on 151 for the loss of 3.

Ardmore edged a thriller against Civil Service, winning by just four runs after posting 208 for 6.

Terenure chased down Killyclooney’s 203 with four wickets to spare, while Templepatrick were too strong for Burndennett, racking up 271 before bowling them out for 191.

There was another close game as Saintfield reached 225 for 4 to pip Eglinton’s 222 for 9, and Ballyspallen also came through, chasing Armagh’s 186 with five wickets down.

Sandyford enjoyed a comfortable win over Bondsglen after setting 225 for 8, while Glendermott had little trouble reaching Nenagh’s 123, getting there four wickets down.

In the Irish Cup, Merrion chased down St Johnston’s 101 with ease, while Railway Union got past Newbuildings after a strong chase of 230.

Donemana squeezed home against Cliftonville in a low-scoring contest, winning by eight wickets, and Lisburn edged Brigade in a real run-fest, reaching 289 for 3 in reply to 288 for 7.

Woodvale piled on a massive 428 for 5 against Bready and completed a huge win, while Malahide comfortably chased Coleraine’s 105, finishing on 107 for 1.

One of the games of the day saw Muckamore scrape past Fox Lodge by just one wicket after chasing 298, and CSNI produced the biggest score of the weekend — 404 for 2 — before bowling Strabane out for 156.
