There were 85 housing commencements in Donegal last month, an increase of nine compared to April 2025.
This is according to data published by the Department of Housing today.
To this point in 2025, there were 259 housing commencements in Donegal, while in the first quarter of this year, there were 267.
These increases are reflected in national figures as well, with over 11,000 housing commencements in the first quarter of this year, while in the entirety of 2025, there were 16,412.
