A family from Donegal who lost their daughter in a car crash in 2001, have been refused a meeting with the Oireachtas Committee.
Sinead McDaid’s family claims the crash would not have happened if council workers, who tarred and chipped the road earlier that day, had followed safety procedures. Donegal County Council refutes that claim.
Jim Higgins, MEP, who has helped the Farrens bring their case to the EU, says he’s bitterly dissapointed that the Farren family, and two other families from Mayo and Kerry who lost family members in what he believes are similar circumstancess, have been denied a meeting with the transport committee.
