PSNI to increase engagement with ethnic minorities after Moygashel bonfire lit overnight

The PSNI says increased engagement with ethnic minority communities in Northern Ireland is to take place, after an effigy of a mosque was placed on a bonfire and lit.

The incident happened in Moygashel in County Tyrone last night.

A 56-year-old man has appeared in court, charged with inciting hatred.

Police had been due to move in to remove the effigy, but it was set alight.
