Ambulance dispute ends as 98% accept Labour Court recommendations

SIPTU and Unite members working in the National Ambulance Service have accepted proposals aimed at resolving a pay dispute.

98 percent of members voted in favour of the Labour Court recommendation.

It will see what the unions claim are significant pay rises for ambulance personnel working as Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics and Paramedic Supervisors.

Workers engaged in a 24 hour strike in May, but stood down further action to allow for talks in the Labour Court.
